The resultant wine is a classic iron fist in a velvet glove. Masses of ripened dark fruits, savoury oak and spice married to a deep ferrous quality. Mouth-filling tannins and a wall of joyous flavours cascade from the front to the back of the palate. A wine of concentration and complexity but so nimble on its feet so as almost to defy description. *phew* This beautiful bottle comes in a special presentation box. A very rare opportunity to buy some Macedon Ranges Pinot Noir grapes from 30+ year old vines was too good to pass up.
The grapes were 100% whole bunch fermented and pressed into new and aged barriques, creating a silky palette with stalky, herbal notes and wonderful Pinot Noir complexity.
